Alpha 4 - One for me, one for you

Another week, another alpha? It appears so!  I haven't been planning to release these on any particular schedule, it's just been working out that way.

Apparently I got a fair amount done this past week! Must've had chores to avoid doing...

Setting the scene

New menu background just dropped!

Pausing

Organising your inventory all getting a little too much for you? Take a little rest by pausing the game! Just hit one of the usual buttons that does that kind of thing, and do what you gotta do.

A challenger appears!

Meet the Wanderer, the adventurer who will be the initial hero from now on.  There's no change in gameplay from this, just a different sprite.  The rippling muscle of the Barbarian will return at a later date.

More loot!

In addition to a few new treasures, two more magical potions have been added for the looting.  Joining the existing red healing potion is a blue potion which gives you a magical shield, and a pink potion providing a damage buff.

Bribery!

What good is stealing treasure if you can't do anything with it?  Now, if you proffer something valuable enough, you might find that the locals can be more interested in getting paid than in getting their weapons dirty!  Not every denizen of the dungeon is a blood-thirsty beast!
